ERNET India an autonomous scientific society under Department of Electronics and Information Technology, M/o Communications & Information Technology, has been set up with the objectives to devlop, set up and operate a nationwide state-of-the-art computer Communication Infrastructure; undertake and promote education, research & development, training and standardization in the area of computer networking and information technology; and develop options for the consideration of the Government for the development of information infrastructure and computer networking in the country.
